Template Compatibility

Can I use your template on a Mac?

Yes. Most Spreadsheet Life templates work on Mac. If a template is not compatible with Mac, you will see a note in the Product Description stating “Windows Only.”

Please note that you need to have Microsoft Excel for Mac to run Spreadsheet Life Excel templates. Apple Numbers is not supported.

Do your templates work with OpenOffice?

I make templates for Microsoft Excel and Google Sheets. Unfortunately, I do not make any templates designed to be compatible with OpenOffice at this time.

Can I use your templates with all versions of Excel?

Most Spreadsheet Life templates work with Excel 2010 or later versions. If a template only works with a newer version of Excel, you will see a note in the Product Description stating so.

How do I know what version of Excel I am using?

To find out what version of Microsoft Excel you are using:

Excel 2013-2019 & Microsoft 365: Go to File > Account to see the Product Information

Excel 2010: Go to File > Help and look under Product Activation

Excel 2007: This version has the large circular icon (the “Office button”) in the upper left that you have to click on to find the File options

Excel 2003: Go to Help > About Microsoft Excel to verify you are using 2003

I think I've messed up my template, can you send me a new one?

If you think you’ve messed up your template, you can always download it again. Just revisit the link provided in your confirmation email. If you still need help, just contact me with your purchase or download information and I will gladly send you the template again.

Also as a suggestion – when you download the template, keep the original file aside and work on a copy of the file. Plus keeping versions of your workbook or spreadsheet is always a good practice.

Can I alter the template?

Once you purchase or download a Spreadsheet Life template, it is yours to modify however you wish.

However, please be aware that changing with the layout, formulas, or functions of the templates may cause them to not work properly.

What is your refund policy?

I offer a 14-day refund policy with no questions asked. If it has been more than 14 days, and you would still like a refund, please contact me and I will look into it right away.

I want to be sure you are happy and satisfied with all templates you download or purchase from Spreadsheet Life.

Can I make copies of the template?

Every downloadable template comes with a personal license, so you may modify and/or copy it as long as it’s for yourself or your household.

Please do not give a template to anyone outside your household.

Please remember that these products are copyrighted and it is illegal to copy and distribute them without explicit written consent.
