Travel With a Spreadsheet

Spreadsheets are very powerful and extremely versatile. They can be used in many different ways to help you better organize and manage all kinds of different aspects of life. And travel is just another one of those aspects.

Did you know that spreadsheets are great for making lists? Did you further know that working from a list is a great way to progress throughout your day?

If you take the time to map out all you want to do on your vacation and you record it on a spreadsheet, you immediately open the door for more relaxation.

If you make the plan once, you don’t have to worry about planning the entire time you are there. On top of that, if your plan is on a spreadsheet:

  • It’s easy to take with you
  • It’s easy to access
  • It’s easy to change

So before you leave, map out your itinerary on a spreadsheet.

No. 2 – Manage Your Travel Budget

Unless you have some sort of budget or small money plan mapped out for your vacation, it can be all too easy to spend, spend, spend.

Although that sounds like a ton of fun while your there, you may not be stress free one you return home from your trip. The last thing you want after a nice vacation is to be immediately thrown in a tough situation once you return.

Once again, your spreadsheet can help you out. With this wonderful tool, you can build yourself a quick and powerful budgeting tool that can go wherever you bring your tablet or laptop.

This can make it super easy to track what you spend and stay on top of your budget. And once you return home, there is not financial worry or stress to be found.

No. 3 – Track What You Pack

Have you ever gone on vacation and forgot something?

Have you ever come home from vacation and forgot something at the hotel or a family member’s home?

The good news it that there is a pretty good way to avoid this unfortunate circumstance. And that is to track what you pack!

In other words, make a list of what you need to pack, keep a few copies, and check things off once they are in your suitcase or bag.

If you take this simple step, you make it easy to remember not only what you need to bring but what you’ve brought. This way no matter if you are going or coming back, you can be sure that all of your things are coming along for the ride too.

And what better way to create a list than to use a spreadsheet?
