Three Quotes and Three Spreadsheets

Today, I’ll be presenting you with three quotes and connecting them with three different spreadsheets. The best part is, both the quotes and the spreadsheets have the wonderful potential of making your life that much better!

So without further ado, let’s get on to our first quote.

Quote No. 1 – by Zig Ziglar

One of the greatest sources of education ought to be the automobile.

Now what does Zig Ziglar mean by the automobile being one of the greatest sources of education? By this, he is referring to the opportunity of being able to listen to educational audio programs when either driving or riding in your car. (To hear him speak more on this topic, you can view his Automobile University video on YouTube.)

The average person spends a considerable amount of time in their vehicle traveling from point A to point B. This time can be spent in many different ways, and one of those is to spend time listening to something educational, inspirational, and/or motivational.

Just try it for a month or two and watch as your educational hours accumulate!

Now you might say, “But I don’t have a way to record and track all those hours.” This is where a spreadsheet can come in handy.

Just like the Spreadsheet Life Reading Tracker, you can create an Audiobook Tracker to count and sum all of the fantastic audio hours you listen to while in your car!

The idea is that once you have spent a few trips in your car and finished an audiobook or two, you can open up your spreadsheet, record your hours, and watch as the proof of your progress slowly but surely starts to show.

Quote No. 2 – by Jim Rohn

If you’re going to affirm something, affirm the truth. Then go do something about it.

The best way to get where we want to go is to at first start where we are.

Of course you need to know where you’re going, but if you don’t know where you are starting from, it can be really hard to navigate or chart the proper course.

The other big importance of always affirming the truth is that if you are going to be honest with anyone, the most important person to be honest with is yourself.

If you are only fooling yourself, you will never be motivated or driven to change or make your life better in the first place.

That is why it is so important to always tell yourself the honest truth. Be optimistic, be determined, and be positive. But always be honest too.

A great example that comes to mind is to be truthful about your Net Worth. If you would like to be rich and wealthy, or if you would like to remain that way if you already are, then it makes sense to figure out where you are in the first place.

Making this determination will help you decide where to go from here. If you are doing well, you can make a plan so things remain great or get even better. If you are struggling a bit, then identify the problem now and do something about it.

And if you find yourself needing a little help along the way, you can use the Spreadsheet Life Net Worth Calculator to peg your starting point and then watch as you make progress day after day.

Quote No. 3 – by Jim Rohn

The only thing worse than not reading a book in the last ninety days is not reading a book in the last ninety days and thinking that it doesn’t matter.

It really does matter.

Taking the time, even just 10 to 15 minutes a day, to read a motivational, inspirational, or educational book can have a profound impact on your life.

Even if you just read 5 pages a day, that would result in 1,825 pages in a single year. Considering an average of 200 pages per book, that’s a little over 9 books a year. And over the course of 10 years, that’s 90 amazing wonderful books that can have a powerful and positive impact on your life.

And that’s by only reading 5 pages a day.

If you want to see the pages and books add up with your own eyes, go ahead and grab the Spreadsheet Life Reading Tracker and see your progress for yourself. You will be amazed by how much you will be able to read, and you will be even more amazed with how much your life changes for the better!
