How to Transpose Data in Google Sheets

In this article, I will show you the easiest way to transpose or flip your data in Google Sheets! This method uses the Paste Special feature.

Step 1 – Copy the Data

Start by selecting the data you want to transpose.

Then right-click and select copy. You can also use the shortcut CTRL + C.

Step 2 – Paste the Data

Select a cell a few rows below the original data. Right-click, then go to Paste Special > Transposed.

This action will transpose the data for you.

Step 3 – Delete the Original Data

You can now delete the original un-flipped data.

Just select the rows containing the data as well as the rows you skipped before the pasted data. The right-click and delete the rows.
