How to Show and Hide Gridlines

Another common question I see a lot is how to show and hide the gridlines in either Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.

Therefore, I have written this article to quickly and efficiently answer that question.

Hide Gridlines in Excel

To hide the gridlines for a worksheet in Excel, use the Ribbon.

Go to View, and uncheck the box next to Gridlines.

Show Gridlines in Excel

To make the gridlines visible in Excel, go to View, and check the box next to Gridlines.

Hide Gridlines in Google Sheets

To hide the gridlines in Google Sheets, go to View Show Uncheck Gridlines.

Show Gridlines in Google Sheets

To show the gridlines in Google Sheets, go to View Show Check Gridlines.

As you can see, showing and hiding the gridlines isn’t all that complicated. You just need to know where to look.

And that is how to quickly and easily show and hide the gridlines in Excel or Google Sheets.
