Five Books to Increase Your Productivity

There always seems to be so much going on these days!

We have work at work and work at home. (Try reading that sentence five times fast.)

The point is that there always seems to be so much to get done. So what do we do?

Well, we can’t get more time, unfortunately. Everyone has the same 24 hours each day to work with. No more and no less.

However, we can increase our efficiency and productivity. Therefore, this article will introduce you to five wonderful books that can help to teach you how to do that.

By the way, these are NOT affiliate links. Spreadsheet Life receives no commission if you use these links to find and purchase these books. We share these books with you because we feel they can truly help!

Book 1 – Eat That Frog!

This is a book by Brian Tracy that teaches you several different tactics you can use to increase your productivity. The main point of the book is to teach you to eat that frog!

What is this frog that you are so optimistically encouraged to eat? It is simply your most important task of the day.

Whatever is the one most important thing you should get done during the day, that is your frog. And you should complete this task (eat your frog) before you do or focus on anything else.

This is the whole idea behind Eat That Frog!

Book 2 – Make Today Count

This is a book written by John C. Maxwell.

Make Today Count is all about how what you do day in and day out is what will determine your future success.

In other words, the small actions that you perform each day are really not that small. Your habits and daily routines compile over time and eventually shape your destiny.

If this idea intrigues you even just a little, we highly recommend you read Make Today Count!

Book 3 – Atomic Habits

Atomic Habits is a book written by habit expert James Clear. If your day-to-day habits are what shape your future, it’s a good idea to learn how to establish the best habits possible.

Luckily for us, Atomic Habits is the perfect book for the job. If you want to learn the best methods for building habits, this is the book for you!

Book 4 – Getting Things Done

Getting Things Done is a well-known book written by productivity expert David Allen.

There is so much packed into this book so we will spare you the details, but we will say that this book reveals an entire full-fledged productivity system unlike any you’ve seen before.

If you want to learn how to get things done, definitely give this book a read!

Book 5 – The End of Procrastination

Is it a coincidence that we put off listing this book until the end of the article? Maybe so, maybe not.

Either way, if you want to learn more about the psychology of procrastination and more importantly, how to overcome it, then this is an excellent read.

If you want to increase your productivity and start getting more done today, check out the book The End of Procrastination.
