Another Way to Add Checkmarks in Excel

There are a few different methods to add checkmarks in Excel. In this article, I will show you how to add checkmarks and Xs using the Wingdings 2 font.

How to Add a Checkmark

Select the cell or range of cells where you want to add checkmarks, and change the font to Wingdings 2.

Press SHIFT+P to add a capital P.

Increase the font size to make the checkmark more visible.

Change the font color to green if you want.

You now have a checkmark in Microsoft Excel.

How to Add a Fancy X

Select the cell or range of cells where you want to add the fancy Xs, and change the font to Wingdings 2.

Press SHIFT+O to add a capital O.

Increase the font size to make the X more visible.

Change the font color to red if you want.

You now have a fancy X in Microsoft Excel.

  1. Wingdings is so fun! It’s a shame that Excel doesn’t have the same check boxes that Google Sheets does. But this is such a great way to remedy that!
